In order to apply for your Driver’s License you must first pass a written test. The driver’s manual is the book that provides the information you need to know in order to pass your written test and to get your driver’s permit.
If you have never had a driver’s license before, you must apply for a Mississippi learner’s permit (instruction permit). This requires that you pass a written exam on safe driving techniques, traffic signs and motor vehicle laws. After you get the learner’s permit, you must pass a vision test and a road skills test to get a provisional driver’s license in Mississippi. You must go into a driver license station to change your address. Mississippi Department of Public Safety is NOT responsible for Driver's Licenses that are lost in the mail. The Mississippi Department of Public Safety does NOT allow credentials to be mailed to post office boxes.
It is important to read the manual because Section 2 and 3 have pertinent information necessary to pass this test.
